5 reasons to do Quest Glendalough

Anyone can do it!
It’s not just the grizzly hardened adventurers that take part in Quest. People of all levels of fitness participate with 3 different routes to choose from the ‘Challenge’ 19km route to the ‘Sport’ 41km route and the ‘Expert’ 57km route. All you need to bring is your bike, a little enthusiasm and you’re all set. The routes showcase the unspoilt beauty of what is known as ‘the Garden of Ireland’.

A great day out with friends
It’s a great excuse to plan an exciting weekend away with friends. You can push yourself to reach your goals (and compete against your friends if you like!). Enjoy the great sense of achievement, the finish line celebrations and food.

Location, location, location
Quest Glendalough takes place in one of the world’s most famous monastic sites within the National Park. Glendalough is located in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough National Park. Run and cycle across the rugged Wicklow Mountains trails and kayak under the mystical shadow of the Glendalough round tower. It’s less than an hour from Dublin city centre for those of you coming from that direction. Remember you can pick up your pack on the morning of the event if you’re not planning on staying overnight.

Rewards at the finish line
Everyone loves a freebie and there’s more than one at Quest Glendalough. All participants will receive a customised Quest-branded training top, customised finisher’s medal and hot food when your cross the finish line.

Make great friends along the way
Adventure races are noted for their friendly, fun and supportive atmosphere. Whether you are looking to simply complete the course or reach a personal best, you will be drawn in by the camaraderie and helpfulness shown to you by other racers. And the craic in the kayak is always 90 – trust us.
