Quest Lough Derg: What, Where and When

Quest Lough Derg takes place on 10th September 2022. Race around some of Ireland’s most iconic waterways, kayak on majestic Lough Derg and run along the banks of the mighty Shannon. Cycle through country roads, quaint villages and sprawling forests and then bask in the glow of achievement.

Waves and Routes

Choose from 3 challenging, exciting routes: 22km Challenge, 57km Sport and 69km Expert. Whatever your fitness there’s one to suit you that will take you on an epic journey around Lough Derg.

Preparation is key to Success

We know how important the challenge is to you so the team here at Quest have developed detailed training plans to help get you ready.

Accommodation

If you are making a weekend of it there are plenty of accommodation options in the beautiful Lough Derg region to choose from, suiting all tastes and budgets.

On the day

All competitors will start and finish on the banks of Lough Derg adjacent to Flanagan’s on the Lake. Your race pack which you will collect at registration includes: timing dibber, race map, bib number and bike sticker.

It is vital that all competitors bring a mandatory kit with them from the start, details of what should be included can be found here. Recovery facilities and hot food will be at the finish line waiting for you. Prizes will be awarded to overall winners in each category and to the over 40s & over 50s male and female winners.
