Quest Glendalough Training Day in Association with Volvo Cars: Saturday 25th February 2023
Quest Glendalough is delighted to team up with event sponsor Volvo to bring you a very special training day to help you get ready for Quest Glendalough 2023!
This event is FREE and open to anyone who has signed up for Quest Glendalough on 1st April 2023.
Training day details
When: Meet 9am, Saturday 25th February 2023
Where: Spirit Volvo Sandyford, Dublin (Eircode: A94 H398), Google Maps
08.45 to 09.00: Meet at Spirit Volvo
09.00 to 09.20: Pre-training day chat with Ollie from Quest where we will outline the plan for the day and you can ask any questions you may have.
09.25 to 10.15: Leave Spirit Volvo for a leisurely 10K cycle up the Dublin Mountains.
10.15: 5K training run in the Dublin Mountains – we will split into different groups depending on levels of fitness.
11.15: Cycle back to Spirit Volvo.
12.00: Light snacks & juice provided by Spirit Volvo when finished.
12.00 to 12.30: Q&A session with Ollie from Quest.
Experienced adventurers will be helping us out on the day, so there will be loads of opportunities to get tips and ask questions, they will be happy to help.
Bikes will be looked after by Quest staff while you are on the trail runs.
Parking: Please park your car in Dunne’s Stores or the Sandyford Luas park and ride. Then cycle down your bike the short distance to Spirit Volvo. There is limited parking at Spirit Volvo.
Who’s it for?: Anyone signed up to Quest Glendalough is welcome on this training day, mainly aimed at beginners who want to get a taste of what to expect.
We will have a support crew to help out on the day looking after bikes and answering questions.
What do I need to bring? Bike, Hemet, lights for the your bike front and back, trail runners, water.
