Quest Killarney Training Day in Association with Volvo Cars: Saturday 16th September 2023
Quest Killarney is delighted to team up with event sponsor Volvo to bring you a very special training day to help you get ready for Quest Killarney 2023 AND anyone who wants to see what an adventure race is all about!
This event is FREE and open to everyone. It’s an ideal training day to get you ready for Quest Killarney (you don’t have to be signed up to the event to take part), and also anyone who wants to try before they buy!
All levels of fitness and experience are welcome, including beginners, so round up your buddies and come along to this fun training day, where you can mix with the Quest team and ask them questions, plus meet other experienced and non-experienced adventurers.
TRAINING DAY DETAILS
When: Meet 9am, Saturday 16th September 2023
Where: Johnson & Perrott Volvo, Bishopstown, Cork, T12 NX67 Google Maps
08.45 to 09.00: Meet at Johnson & Perrott Volvo
09.00 to 09.20: Pre-training day chat with Ollie from Quest where we will outline the plan for the day and you can ask any questions you may have.
09.25 to 10.15: Leave Johnson & Perrott Volvo for a leisurely cycle.
10.15: 5K training run on the trails – we will split into different groups depending on levels of fitness.
11.15: Cycle back to Johnson & Perrott Volvo.
12.00: Light snacks & juice provided by Johnson & Perrott Volvo when finished.
12.00 to 12.30: Q&A session with the Quest team.
Experienced adventurers will be helping us out on the day, so there will be loads of opportunities to get tips and ask questions, they will be happy to help.
Bikes will be looked after by Quest staff while you are on the trail runs.
Parking: you will be directed to car parking in the morning of the training day.
Who’s it for?: Anyone is welcome on this training day, of any level of fitness including beginners.
We will have a support crew to help out on the day looking after bikes and answering questions.
What do I need to bring? Bike, helmet, lights for the your bike front and back, trail runners, water.
